HRIS Administrator 

Our Client located in London, Ontario is a leading national distribution company specializing in products for the construction industry.  We are looking to find an HRIS Administrator to join their team.

The Candidate:

This individual will work as part of a team to support their Payroll and Benefits team using the PeopleSoft system.   This includes functional configuration and support, report development and maintenance and requirements gathering / documenting and testing of changes and updates from Oracle.  Candidates should have a mix of technical and business skills and a passion for working collaboratively as part of a team to provide best in class customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Functional support, training and troubleshooting for Payroll and Benefits teammates
  • PeopleSoft configuration, analysis, and support
  • Ensure data integrity and completeness of information within PeopleSoft by performing regular audit reviews
  • Testing of system upgrades, application fixes, updates and new functionality
  • Research and resolve functional and technical issues
  • Perform PeopleSoft user access and role provisioning related tasks
  • Maintain tables in PeopleSoft such as locations, departments, job title codes and payroll annual tables
  • Design, develop, and run weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports using Query Manager and BI Publishing
  • Maintain an active connection with the Oracle and PeopleSoft online communities
  • Keep up-to-date with payroll legislation and labour standards across Canada
  • Follow ITSM Best Practices
  • Perform administrative tasks as required
  • Be an active team member for IT related projects
  • Contribute to the ongoing success of the department and organization by recommending and implementing procedural changes that will improve efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications:

  • Strong payroll and benefits background; knowledge of internal payroll policies, practices and procedures
  • Experience supporting functional capabilities of PeopleSoft related to the generation and maintenance of payroll related information
  • Experience developing with PeopleSoft Query Manager and Oracle BI Publisher
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information
  • Ability to analyze workflow and develop procedural modifications
  • Experienced in documenting configuration, processes and workflows
  • Trustworthy and conscientious, with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure with deadlines
